- You must be
at
least 12 years of age and those under 18 must be accompanied by a
guardian.
- A liability
waiver must be signed.

- Do not wear
loose fitting clothes. Oar handles and wheels on seats can get
caught on loose fitting
t-shirts and shorts. Most prefer to wear
spandex type shorts with a t-shirt you can tuck in if necessary.
- Hand and
wrist
jewelry should not be worn.
- Wear
flip-flops or
tennies that you don't care about because they can get wet and muddy.
- Bring
socks. Rowing shoes (13 size fits all) are already mounted in the
boats, but socks are required.
- You will
want to
bring water with you in the boat.
- Bring as
little as
possible as we have no locker facilities. Keys can be locked inside
the boathouse while rowing.
- Minimal
toilet
facilities are available.
- Ladies,
make-up
will tend to drip into your eyes but some of us still insist on risking
it.
- Sunglasses,
sun
screen and caps are advised.

|
- You may be
in a
scull or a sweep, depending on the number of rowers we have on any
scheduled rowing date.
- Priority is
given
to taking out the eight-man sweep.
- Once
you become a member and have
been certified, you have access to club boats for
use at any time.
- Everyone
helps put
boats in and out
of the water. It is imperative you understand the basic Coxswain
commands for how the
boat is lifted, carried, and set into the water. Teamwork carrying the
boats is important.
